Necessary electronics for the tractor
Electric parts for tractors
A tractor is a vehicle used in agriculture as well as for municipal services in cities. On farms, the tractor plays a unique role, because we can attach a trailer, plow, sprayer, manure spreader or seed drill to this machine. The tractor copes very well to move on demanding terrain. The special construction of the tires is adapted to driving on uneven surfaces of agricultural fields
It is necessary to equip the tractor with the necessary accessories and parts to perform the given activities efficiently. Solid elements guarantee a long service life because they are resistant to external factors. Tractor electronics is a wide category of electrical accessories dedicated to agricultural machines. What electronic accedssories should every tractor owner have?
Adapters and electrical sockets supplying the wiring system to the trailer
The adapter is a universal device that allows you to connect the wiring system to the trailer attached to the agricultural machine. This type of element is necessary when the tractor has a different number of PINs in the socket than the trailer. The trailer attached to the machine must have reliably working lights, because only then can it safely participate in road traffic. A properly lit vehicle does not pose a danger in road traffic, and the owner of the tractor is not at risk of receiving an expensive fine.
Another type of accessories are electrical sockets, which also allow you to connect the trailer to the machine. They ensure the proper flow of energy. The wiring loom is usually located near the tow hook. Its main task is to provide power to the trailer lamps. One type of electrical socket is the seven-pin (seven-pole) socket. Its construction is based on seven wires, which, if connected to the trailer, supply power to the indicator lamps, position lamps or stop lamps. Another type of electrical accessory is the thirteen-pin (thirteen-pole) socket. They can be divided into two types - a wiring loom with eight wires or with twelve wires. The first element supports brake lights, position lights, reversing lights and direction indicators. The second one supports brake lamps, position lamps, reversing lamps or direction indicators.
A safe isolating switch in an agricultural machine
Other accessories from the electronics category for the tractor are isolating switches. The task of this small element is to create a safe contact gap in the electrical circuit. This element makes it possible to stop the current flow through the devices inside the agricultural machine. This device is useful when the tractor is not operated, because the isolating switch protects the battery from discharging. One movement of the hand is enough to turn a small part and create a contact gap. The isolating switch is most often used before starting repair and maintenance of agricultural machine, during longer down-time of the machine or when charging the battery with the use of a rectifier which is not removed from the tractor.
Bulb holders with a cable are also necessary in an agricultural machine. This accessory is responsible for the proper operation of the lighting. A flexible wire provides power to the light bulb. Lamps in the tractor play an important role, because they ensure the adequate visibility of the machine. Therefore, they affect not only the safety of the driver, but also other road users. The driver can then safely signal maneuvers on the road.
